Princess Abby turns 4

My little girl is 4 now and not so little. I am posting this late as it's been such a crazy season and I am 8.5 weeks pregnant and sick as a dog.
Abby requested another princess dress up party with her closest friends. She had a surprise visit from Elsa. We had a sweet breakfast party with a donut cake and French toast. The girls had so much fun!!!

Abby is such a doll these days. She has calmed down so much. She loves her brother to pieces and is always trying to cuddle him. She's still my amazing sleeper. She sleeps till 730 every am and is still taking naps. She wants to learn! She loves changing all day long still. She is in a big girl class at church which has been so fun. She's handling being around people so much better these days. In the last week she has been a total doll! I am so loving this new stage and the no tantrums. Abby blesses me!!!!

Lentil Tacos

My super thrifty friend Kate gave me this recipe years ago! I finally tried them and they are so delicious and crazy inexpensive!!!!

Lentil Tacos

Ingredients

1 TBL Olive Oil
1 C finely chopped onion
1 clove garlic chopped
1/2 tsp salt
1 C dried brown or green lentils, rinsed (you do not have to rinse them)
1 package (2.25 ounce) taco seasoning
2 1/2 C veggie or chicken broth
1/2 C fat free sour cream
1 chipotle in adobe sauce, finely chopped (use half or less depending what you want spice wise)
2 tsp adobo sauce
taco shells or whatever you want to use (I use low carb whole grain tortillas
1 1/4 C shredded cheese
1 C chopped tomato
1/2 C shredded reduced - fat cheddar

Preparation:
Heat oil in a large skillet over med-high heat. Cook onion, garlic, and salt until onion begins to soften, 3-4 min, Add lentils and taco seasoning. Cook until spices are fragrant and lentils are dry, about 1 minute. Add broth; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until lentils are tender, 25-30 minutes. Mix sour cream, chile and adobe sauce in a bowl. Uncover lentils and cook until mixture thickens, 6-8 minutes. Mash with a rubber spatula. Spoon 1/4 C lentil mixture into each tortilla. Top with 2 heaping tsp sour cream mixture, lettuce, tomato, and cheese.

Asher is 2 years old

My little man is so so so so so so stinking cute!!!! He seriously melts my heart to pieces!!!
We had such a fun birthday for him. We had a playdate with his friends at our house with just our friends and then had our family over over the weekend. He got lots of yummy cupcakes and so many fun presents. Mostly he got motorcycles which filled his little heart. He got his first trike, a guitar, train table, and so much more:) He is very well loved by so many around him.
Asher has all of his teeth and is finally starting to talk a little. He say's the funniest things (bike, outside, wah was (water), baybay (baby), Abby, Asher, vroom vroom, dadda, momma, this is just a few......). Asher is all about dancing, singing, being a rascal, jumping off everything and anything, and is just as busy as can be! He is such a great sleeper and napper. I am so grateful my kiddos sleep past 7 and 730 everyday!

Asher is 28 pounds and in the 57th percentile, he is 36 1/4 inches long and in the 93rd percentile, and his head is 20.5 in and in the 98th percentile.
BMI 14%

It has been too long

I can not believe how little I blog these days! Life is so busy and changes by the day! Here is a quick update on life! It is about to be September!

Collin started high school last week! He turns 14 in a few weeks! CRAZY! He is for sure a teenager now and going through tons of changes. It happened sooner than expected. Praying for that little guy to grow in Christ! That is our hope for him.

Asher is about to be 2 in a few weeks! He is the most funny and busy little guy I know! He brings our family so much joy! We just took his pacifier aka as Mae Mae away a week ago! He asks for it all the time. He says "mae mae"? and we say "Asher where is your mae mae?" and he say's "all gone and does his sign language and then says "trash truck." Abby told him the trash truck took it away! LOL! He is so so big! He is all boy! He loves food, motorcycles, trains, jumping off high things, pulling all kinds of stunts, he loves the pool, he loves singing and dancing, he absolutely loves his toothbrush!" He already has a chipped tooth and we are waiting for a broken bone or something. He took his scooter off his little slide a couple days ago. If its not one thing it is another. LOL!

Abby is just too much! She had a super rough time for a few months. It was very challenging. Tantrums like i have never seen before. I was a mess and so was she! She has really calmed down and is about to be 4 in October. She loves learning! She loves all things girly! Her birthday list has been adding up since her last birthday! She loves to draw, dance, sing, play with her dollhouse, she loves sharing the gospel, she still gets super anxious being around people! She absolutely loves swimming and is a awesome swimmer! I adore my little girl with all her craziness:) She takes after me....... Wish she had more Brian but God knew just what we needed.

I am thankful for all three of my babies! They bless our lives and we praise God for giving us all of them to raise and love! It is not easy but I am thankful!!!!!

Asher's 19 month check up and 20 months old tomorrow

Oh my this boy! I adore him beyond words! I wish I kept up with journaling but life is just crazy! Asher can pretty much get away with anything! He is so cute I can not handle it half the time! The throwing his food across the room when he is done eating maybe one of my biggest issues with him:) HA HA! Brian cracks up that Asher has me wrapped around his finger!
Last month at his 19 month check up he weighed in at 26.6 pounds! 2 lbs less than his sister. He is in the 99th percentile for his head, 75th for weight, and 61st percent tile for height coming in at 33 inches tall. He is a solid block! He eats everything and anything most of the time. He has about 2 teeth left and he is done. He is finally starting to talk a little. He says momma, dadda, bubba, truck, all done, bye bye, yes, no no, hello, one more, go, and a few others. He is a busy climbing machine. We gave away his dresser because he would climb on top of it and that thing was massive, we took a step off Collins ladder for his bunk bed and Asher figured out how to get up there even still! The kid is always jumping off big things and is fearless!
He is so fun and ridiculous! He seriously melts my heart! We just cut his hair for the first time. I messed it up a little. He loved getting his hair cut. But he still hates diaper changes, having his teeth brushed, he has to eat right when he is hungry, he still likes his milk but not as much (probably because I took him off of whole milk... lol)....He is a great sleeper! He has always been an awesome napper. He sleeps from about 730pm-7am and naps from 1130 or so till 330!
He LOVES his brother, He loves skateboarding, he is great on his scooter! He is just physically advanced lol:)

I can not believe that boy will be 2 in a few months! CAN NOT BELIEVE IT!

Asher is 16 months

I wish I could blog as much as I did with Abby but having two little ones is so much more busy. Asher just had a well visit today. He weighs 24.5 lbs (75th percentile), he is 31 3/4 inches long (59h percentile), and his head is 19inches (99th percentile).  This boy has a massive head! He has all of his teeth minus his last four molars. I am not looking forward to those coming in. Hard to believe he maybe a worse teether then his sister. Since moving into our house 2 months ago he has been sleeping through the night. He just needed his own room. It has been wonderful! The boy eats everything and anything. He loves his milk! He pretty much always has food in his mouth. The only words he say's are mum, momma, mmmmm (more), I am pretty sure he has said Dadda before, he smacks his cute little lips together to let us know he wants milk (melts my heart). He climbs on everything and is in everything. Only problem with that is he falls a lot and can not handle even the tiniest little bump. He is so cute and dramatic. He loves to watch trash trucks, play hide and seek, peek a boo, he loves all of his cars, he is so happy being outside! This boy is a handful but the cutest handful I could ask for! I just adore this kid and have so much fun watching him grow. He is a mommies boy and I love it! He has always been super easy to put down to sleep. He naps amazing! I pray this little guy will grow and love the Lord!

Asher turns 1!!!

This is a week over due!
Asher turned one on September 20th. What a fun birthday month it has been for my boys!
Asher has 12 teeth and four more on their way! He is still waking up once a night but we will take that! Up until yesterday the only thing he said was "MOM". So cute! Now he is saying "dadda". When they say boys talk later than girls it is no joke! Asher is so silly and adorable! He is crawling and climbing and standing on everything. Asher is by far way more busy than his sister ever was! He has been off formula for close to a month. He loves his whole milk but really loves all food! This boy will eat any and everything. Watermelon seems to be his favorite food right now:) We had a really nice birthday party for him at home with his closest friends. Asher weighs about 22lbs and is 30 inches tall.  Asher's height is in the 70th percentile, Weight 30th percentile, and Head 99th. His head is the size of a 2.5 year old at 19.5 inch circumference. Lol
