Our family is a huge blessing to my life! God is using my family to bring me much joy along with so much growth! God is using Brian to teach me to lean on God in the trials and as our kids grow and to not always need to be in control of everything! What a hard lesson that has been. Collin is going through so many changes and I am struggling through a lot of it. All I want for him is a heart of repentance and faith in Christ. I despise having him leave every Monday. I know God has a plan for all of this. I do struggle to see that much of the time.
Abby is doing really well. She has learned a new trick:) Abby can now pull her legs up pretty high. It does not sound like much but it is. She is so proud of herself every time she does it.
She is a happy baby and is sleeping great. I look forward to being a mother to her and pray God would teach me to have so much grace for my children in their sin and that I would be reminded of all of my sin and Gods patience with me!

Cutie Patootie!

Abigail is about to turn 3months tomorrow! She is absolutely precious. We adore her! She has become a sleeper again. It seems she is never awake! She must be growing. A couple days ago she started making the sweetest little noises. They do not happen often but I am sure they will soon!

Can I possibly have this faith?

"After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, “Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” He said, “Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” So Abraham rose early in the morning, saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and his son Isaac. And he cut the wood for the burnt offering and arose and went to the place of which God had told him. On the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes and saw the place from afar. Then Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey; I and the boy will go over there and worship and come again to you.” And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son. And he took in his hand the fire and the knife. So they went both of them together. And Isaac said to his father Abraham, “My father!” And he said, “Here I am, my son.” He said, “Behold, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?” Abraham said, “God will provide for himself the lamb for a burnt offering, my son.” So they went both of them together.
When they came to the place of which God had told him, Abraham built the altar there and laid the wood in order and bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. Then Abraham reached out his hand and took the knife to slaughter his son. But the angel of the LORD called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” He said, “Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.” And Abraham lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, behind him was a ram, caught in a thicket by his horns. And Abraham went and took the ram and offered it up as a burnt offering instead of his son. So Abraham called the name of that place, “The LORD will provide”; as it is said to this day, “On the mount of the LORD it shall be provided.”
(Genesis 22:1-14)

Would I be able to take my child and offer it to the Lord? Am I willing to sacrifice anything I have if the Lord called me too. Am I willing to move to another Country in order to serve and give up the family I have here. Abraham was so faithful. Many people think that Isaac was just a baby when this story took place. He was much older than a baby. He was able to carry the wood himself and talk to his dad and ask him what was going on. Can you imagine how much harder this made things? He had to explain to Isaac what was happening. I want to trust God so much that I would be able to do anything He asked me to do. I know that I have such little faith. God calls me to do even the smallest of things and I tend to run in the opposite direction. Lord grow my faith!!!!

And this is what happened because of Abraham's love for the Lord.
"And the angel of the LORD called to Abraham a second time from heaven and said, “By myself I have sworn, declares the LORD, because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, I will surely bless you, and I will surely multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and as the sand that is on the seashore. And your offspring shall possess the gate of his enemies, and in your offspring shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because you have obeyed my voice.” So Abraham returned to his young men, and they arose and went together to Beersheba. And Abraham lived at Beersheba.
Genesis 22:15-19 ESV

My study of the Old Testament is going so great! I am praying God continues to help me to be disciplined daily. We can read the same book of the bible a hundred times and still get something new every time!

My cutie!

This girl brings so much joy into our lives! I can't get enough of her and she gets cuter every day, if that's even possible. My little girl slept about 12 hours last night with three quick feedings. She must be growing!

Babys got bling!

Abby got her ears pierced today! She did so great minus the piercing itself. My friend Hannah held her for me:) I love her little ears!!!

Change in 2012

It has been four days since 2012. So many changes in our lives this year already. Brian and I want to have a healthy start to the New Year. I guess you can call that a New Years resolution but I have never seen how those are very good because it seems after a couple months it all goes down the drain. Brian has been such a great motivator for me and I am very excited that Abby will be having extra healthy milk coming through. We are just eating much more simple. Healthy grains, lots of fruits and veggies, whole wheat, cottage cheese, oatmeal, yogurt, smoothies, nuts, and lots of chicken and turkey. It makes cooking really easy. The last two days have been so hard for me not to eat some candy. I have been snacking on snap peas instead. I am excited we have gotten through a couple days.
The most exciting change for me this year is; I want to learn the Old Testament but mostly read through it and not give up. I am on day four of my reading plan and am praising God He is helping me to wake up daily and spend time with Him before anything else. Abby has been such a good sleeper the last couple days so it has helped me to read my bible and a book I am reading.
The other big thing I want to work through this year is loving people regardless of anything! I have realized in the last couple weeks that many people avoid me because I am very intentional and bold. Not everyone loves having someone like that in their life. Brian helped me to see that the people that gravitate towards me are those that are really wanting to grow in scripture and have accountability. I tend to avoid certain people as well and get annoyed by certain things. Everyone is made so different and since I have never been a girl that enjoys cliques and love including everyone into everything I want to really work on loving and cherishing those that would normally be difficult for me to spend time with.
I also want to stop caring so much what others think of me and focus on my loving savior who sees me through Christ as redeemed! I spend too much time worrying about things that are really pointless in the long run.
I want to do all things for the glory of God! I pray to look back on this year and see more holiness and more of Christ in me!

"Have nothing to do with irreverent, silly myths. Rather train yourself for godliness; for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come."
