Abby went in the big girl potty!
I wanted to start potty training at 12 months because it is a big thing on my side of the family. My grandma thinks babies should be potty trained between 4-6 months of age literally. So today which also happens to be the first day she learned to Stand on her own and take two steps she went pee pee in the potty!! I am so happy right now.

Happy Anniversary!
Brian and I have been so incredibly blessed by two years of marriage! I never imagined being married to my best friend and the man that draws me closer to the Lord daily! I am the most blessed woman alive! What a wonderful year we have had! God blessed us with our beautiful daughter Abby and Collin has been flourishing and doing so great! We are blessed parents! Brian surprised me with so many sweet gifts and then took me to Miguels in Coronado where we had our first date. Then we got some coffee and walked around and looked at some beautiful houses. It was wonderful. Abby did great at the Tousley's. She loves them so much! We missed her a lot and were excited to get back to have her in our arms:) I pretty much tear up anytime I am not with her! Thank you hunny for such a wonderful evening! I LOVE YOU!
Abby's Birthday Party
She was surrounded by 75 of her closest family and friends to ring in her first birthday in style. Thank you to all who made it and for blessing our beautiful little girl! What a wonderful overcast day it was! So thankful my aunt from Australia was able to join us! Thank you to Kate for taking pictures, Natalie for making yummy cupcakes and providing drinks and so much help, sweet Lizzy thank you for all of your sweet service and love, Dana for the amazing cake pops, Marla for the wonderful cake, and all of you that helped to set-up and clean-up! We are so blessed by all of you!
Side note: My little girl just had her 12 month shots and weighed in at 19lbs 1 ounce putting her in the 17th percentile for weight, she is 29in long which puts her in the 27th percentile, and her head is in the 75th. She did pretty good with her shots this time but it is still so sad! Abby went from being a big girl to petite!

1st Birthday
| Abby turned one today! I found myself feeling very emotional that my little baby is going to soon be a toddler. I love her so much and never want her to grow up! She is so fun and brings joy to all of us! I constantly feel so blessed God allowed us to get pregnant when we never knew if we would. Abby is a doll. She does new things almost every single day. She can say baby (bah bah), mommy, dadda, tree, bath, Lara (my aunt), baba (my grandma), dah (yes is Russian) and a few others I can't think of. She loves to make fishy lips and give kisses, she waves hi and bye to almost everyone, she is walking along everything and loves taking her baby on a walk in it's stroller, she LOVES her new tricycle from grandma and grandpa Kinley, she still nurses a lot, she loves greek yogurt, little snacks, sweet potatoes, and that's about it. She will eat other things when she wants too. She points at everything:) . She weighs about 19lbs and just got a new tooth today which makes the grand total 8! My favorite story so far comes this week. I was out last night for a couple hours. While Brian was giving Abby a bath she stood up and held onto the faucet, then looked at Brian and pointed her finger at him swinging it back and forth along with her head saying no no no (nah nah nah). He had no idea why she was telling him no but figured she probably should not be standing where she was. Brian did not know that Abby is not allowed to stand there after almost taking a bad spill a couple weeks ago. So she knew she should not be doing it but pulled a fast one on dad. If you heard the story in person it would make more sense and be more funny probably:) I am still laughing at that. Abby has such a sweet, fun, and spunky personality. I would not trade anything about her for anything. I adore her to pieces even when she is throwing a tantrum and being crazy. Praising God this last week she is sleeping better too! Happy Birthday to my precious little girl! I love you so much sweet baby! You are such a joy to us and we are beyond thankful for you! |

Awesome post to encourage you moms

Dear Moms, Jesus Wants You To Chill Out

FACT: If your children can’t read by age four there is a 95% chance they will end up homeless and on drugs.
FACT: If your children eat any processed food there is an 85% chance they will contract a rare, most likely incurable disease, by age 12.
FACT: If you’re not up at dawn reading the Bible to your children, you are most likely a pagan caught in the clutches of witchcraft.
FACT: If your children watch more than 10 minutes of television a day there is 75% chance they will end up in a violent street gang by age 17.
Obviously, the “facts” listed above are not true (at least, I don’t think they are). But, I’ve noticed that the Internet has made it much easier for people, and moms in particular, to compare themselves to each other. Now, just to be clear, this is not a post against “mom blogs”, or whatever they’re called. If you write a mom blog, that’s cool with me. This is a post to encourage the moms who tend to freak out and feel like complete failures when they read the mom blogs and mom Facebook posts.
Moms, Jesus wants you to chill out about being a mom. You don’t have to make homemade bread to be a faithful mom. You don’t have to sew you children’s clothing to be a faithful mom. You don’t have to coupon, buy all organic produce, keep a journal, scrapbook, plant a garden, or make your own babyfood to be a faithful mom. There’s nothing wrong with these things, but they’re also not in your biblical job description.
Your job description is as follows:
Love God. This simply means finding some time during the day to meet with the Lord. It doesn’t have to be before all the kids are awake. It doesn’t have to be in the pre-dawn stillness. Your job is to love God. How you make that happen can look a million different ways.
Love your husband (unless you’re a single mom, of course). Your second job is to love and serve your husband. Husbands are to do the same for their wives, but that’s for a different post. If your husband really likes homemade bread, maybe you could make it for him. But don’t make homemade bread simply because you see other moms posting pictures of their homemade bread on Facebook.
Love your kids. Your calling as mom is to love your kids and teach them to follow the Lord. They don’t need to know Latin by age six. If they do, more power to you. But that’s a bonus, not part of the job description. Your job is simply to love your kids with all your exhausted heart, and to teach them to love Jesus. That’s a high calling. Don’t go throwing in other, extraneous things to make your life more difficult. If you want to teach your kids to sew, great. But don’t be crushed by guilt if your kids aren’t making stylish blazers by the age of 10.
Moms, Jesus want you to rest in him. He wants you to chill out. His yoke is easy and his burden is light. Don’t compare yourself to other moms. Don’t try to be something God hasn’t called you to be. If the mom blogs are making you feel guilty, stop reading them. Be faithful to what he has truly called you to do, and know that he is pleased with you. When your kids are resting, don’t feel guilty about watching an episode of “Lost”, or whatever your favorite show may happen to be.
Love God, love your husband, love your kids. Keep it simple and chill out.

Babushka's 90th Birthday Celebration
What a blessing to celebrate my grandma's 90th birthday! She is so unique and special! No matter what has happened to her in life she always keeps strong with a smile on her face. She is one of my best friends! Grandma goes to school three days a week still and is in a traveling choir. We celebrated her birthday with a fun dance party! My cousin Thomas and my aunt Larisa from Australia even flew out. We have so enjoyed having family here! Praying God opens her heart to Him!
